BEST TIME TO VISIT KENYA
June – October (Long Dry Season)
Peak safari season with superb game viewing as animals concentrate around water sources. July – October brings Great Migration river crossings and big cat action. Best for: first-timers, photographers, migration seekers.
November – December (Short Rains)
Short afternoon showers awaken the landscape and attract migratory birds. One of our favourite seasons with newborn animals, lots of predator activity, fewer visitors, and lower rates. Best for: birders, photographers, repeat visitors.
January – February (Short Dry Season)
Warm and dry with great wildlife viewing, lush landscapes, and smaller crowds than in peak season. Occasional showers keep things cool. Best for: families, couples, value-seekers, beach lovers.
March – May (Long Rains)
The wettest months bring lower prices, quiet parks, and dramatic skies. Some camps close, but those that stay open feel exclusive. Lush vegetation makes game viewing harder. Best for: deal-savvy travellers, adventurous explorers.
