Scenic Safari and Beach
Discover Kenya’s remarkable diversity on a safari that takes in both ‘bush and beach’, and gives you the opportunity to experience both the thrill of wildlife encounters and the serenity and relaxation that comes with spending time by the sea. While Kenya is perhaps best known as a wildlife-viewing destination, its Indian Ocean coastline offers palm-fringed beaches, warm, azure water and opportunities to learn more about the distinctive Swahili culture. Beach time provides the ideal contrast to safari days and nights, and this itinerary highlights the fact that you can experience both without the need to cross a border.
Adventure Safaris
Scenic Safari and Beach
Duration: 11 Days / 10 Nights
Destination: Shompole Conservancy, Mara North Conservancy and Diani Beach
Day 1
After you land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) our team will meet you for a welcome briefing before assisting with your transfer to Wilson Airport (also in Nairobi), for your scenic helicopter flight to the Magadi area in Kenya’s Rift Valley. Flying lower and slower than you would in a fixed-wing aircraft means that you can enjoy up-close views of the changing terrain below, and have opportunities to take stunning photographs. Your guide will meet you as you land, for your transfer to the camp.

Days 1, 2, 3
Spend your time exploring the Shompole Conservancy with your guide, and gain an appreciation for the dramatic landscapes, diverse scenery and rich biodiversity of the Rift Valley.
Includes: three nights’ accommodation in the Shompole Conservancy area (full board) and selected local drinks on the game package plan.

Day 4
Return to the skies for a second scenic helicopter flight, this time returning you to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to connect with your mid-morning scheduled flight to the Mara North Airstrip. When your guide meets you at the airstrip, they will offer you a choice between driving straight to the camp for lunch, or setting off on your afternoon game drive and stopping in a shady spot for an al fresco lunch.

Days 4, 5, 6
Discover just why the Mara is a legendary safari destination with morning and afternoon game drives, plus cultural and community activities as the Mara North Conservancy reveals its secrets.
Includes: three nights’ accommodation in the Mara North area (full board) and selected local drinks on the game package plan.
Day 7
A change of pace and vibe as you transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled direct flight to Diani Beach on Kenya’s southern coast. You’ll be met on arrival for your hotel transfer so you can check into your relaxed home from home.

Days 7, 8, 9, 10
Choose to do as much or as little as you wish during your time by the Indian Ocean; relax, tan, swim, take part in watersports, or discover the fascinating local Swahili culture. This is your beach time; enjoy it at your own pace.
Includes: four nights’ accommodation in the Diani Beach area (full board) and selected local drinks on the game package plan. Excursions and other activities (including watersports) are available on request, with all costs for your own account.
Day 11
Enjoy one last oceanside breakfast and a leisurely morning before an early lunch followed by a transfer to Diani Airstrip for your scheduled 15h00 flight back to Wilson Airport. After this flight (approximately two hours), you’ll be met by our team for your transfer to JKIA in good time to connect with your return international flight.
